What is a Run-On Sentence?

A run-on sentence happens when two or more complete sentences are joined together incorrectly without proper punctuation or connecting words. ❌

How to Spot a Run-On Sentence

Look for:

  1. Two complete sentences joined incorrectly 😮
    • Check if each part has a subject + verb + complete thought.
  2. No punctuation or wrong punctuation
    • Missing period, semicolon, or comma + coordinating conjunction.
